We have been closely monitoring the global developments of the COVID-19 pandemic, the travel restrictions imposed around the world and the uncertainty of this ongoing situation. Because of this, the IFEAT Executive Committee has taken the difficult decision to once again postpone the IFEAT 2021 Conference planned for Berlin. This will now move to October 2023.

We know how important the annual IFEAT Conference is to our Members and to our non-members. We also appreciate the significance of maintaining a face-to-face Conference to facilitate networking and this is particularly important within our industry. However, during these difficult times, IFEAT must apply a safety-first policy for our members, guests, staff and our partners alike.

However, we have good news! IFEAT plans to hold a hybrid Conference in 2022 and the in-person part of the event will take place in Vancouver, Canada. This is to enable us to welcome everyone who wishes to attend the event to do so, either on-line or in person. We will announce the dates and the venue in the autumn this year.

The past year has shown us that the pandemic is unpredictable but we remain optimistic that, in the not-too-distant future, things will begin to improve and recover and we can all meet up once again. We are already seeing signs of hope and well over a billion vaccines have already been administered around the world.

We are currently putting together plans for a virtual event towards the end of this year and will announce more details soon.
